Contrary to what many might think, this photo series has not been created in Photoshop. Instead, it relies solely on the creative mind and talented eye of photographer Jim Sanborn.
Shot at night using long exposure, the Topographic Projections and Implied Geometries series were produced by direct, large format light projections, which were powered by a mobile generator and moved from site to site. The result is almost artistically abstract. Covering different American terrain including Utah, Arizona and Oregon, Sanborn captured the beauty of the world's ladscapes in a truly creative manner.
