Hypnotizing 3D Art Sculptures

These Dizzying Artworks are Only Made from Canvas and Paint

A Pacific Northwest-based duo called Stallman Studios created a collection of ingenious 3D art sculptures. The collection is called 'Canvas on the Edge' and tries to highlight the nature of its materials by creating the perception of motion through the use of elevated structures.

These hybrid paintings and sculptures use twisted and twirled canvas varying in size and angle, to create the visual effect of movement. Different structures display varying perspectives that are also displayed through the use of color spectrums.

Each of the pieces are created in tandem, with both artists working together to create something truly unique. Both artists are inspired by the natural world often mimicking biological gradients and cell patterns. Despite its visual complexity, they believe that their 3D art sculptures permeate a sense of calm.
