Dr. Martens is reuniting with legendary designer Rick Owens on a truly one-of-a-kind collaboration merging Owen’s iconic architectural silhouettes with Dr. Martens’ structured, utilitarian boots. The new series reinvents the signature 1460 boot and towering statement 1918 18-eyelet boot through "Owens’ energetic non-conformity and grunge influence."
Notably, the entire top portion of the 1918 boot features a dramatic Hair-On leather material, wrap-around laces, and a two-inch platform sole. A companion piece to the 1460 8-eye boot is the 1460 8-eye boot reimagined in soft, heavyweight black Lunar leather with contrasting pearl laces and extra wide eyelets.
The brand chose renowned extremist performance artist Ron Athey to showcase the new collection. “His work speaks to eternal primitive in all of us and to our shared human experiences,” says Rick Owens.
