Armyworm Pest Control Solutions

FMC Corporation Launches a New Pheromone Solution for Crop Health

FMC Corporation has launched Sofero™ Fall, its first pheromone product targeting fall armyworm, now registered in Brazil. Using mating disruption technology, the solution offers a sustainable way to protect key row crops—like corn, soy, and cotton—by preventing pest reproduction. As part of FMC’s broader Sofero™ portfolio, it integrates with biologicals and synthetics to enhance pest control and resistance management. Notably, this solution is environmentally friendly and does not leave harmful residue on the plants.

"Sofero™ pheromone solutions inspire a new way to think about crop protection – one that is focused on prevention over treatment," said Ronaldo Pereira, FMC president. "With our extensive portfolio and global reach, FMC is uniquely positioned to bring these game-changing solutions to growers around the world, creating a more sustainable future for agriculture while solving real problems in the field."
