One notable 2019 retail trend is the increased presence of digitally native retail concepts. Companies that begin as a brick-and-mortar usually don't have a lot of trouble establishing an online presence, however, the reverse is not always true. Online-first brands, such as Amazon or eBay can face challenges when it comes to building a brick-and-mortar footprint.
To overcome this challenge, these eCommerce retailers have created pop-up spaces to showcase curated items available on their platform. For example, Amazon and lifestyle magazine Refinery29 partnered to launch an in real life popup gift guide that targets the whole family while eBay's 'The New Stand' store spotlights innovative small businesses.
