Her is a fashionable cafe in Hong Kong which boasts an "other-worldly atmosphere" thanks to the expertise of Valencia-based design firm Clap.
The business is a classic example of hybridization. The concept for Her was developed by Hilary Tsui who looked at ways to combine a passion for fashion with an accessible space where one can purchase an afternoon drink. Aside from convenience-focused services, the fashionable cafe needed to make a visual impact in order to compete in the contemporary business landscape. As a result, Clap attempted to stay as far away from reality as possible. The interior features a chaotic stepped design where people can sit or stand, a few minimalist coffee tables, as well as a striking display of terracotta tiles.
