Transformable Outdoor Gear Prototypes

Pacifico Launched Pacifi-Go for Post-Adventure Hangs

Mexican pilsner-style beer brand Pacifico introduced 'Pacifi-Go,' a prototype outdoor gear series that transforms activity gear into post-adventure essentials. It includes a waterproof jacket that converts into a beer bucket and a wakeboard kickstand that doubles as a campfire bench. A backpack beer cooler rounds out the lineup, unfolding into a compact beach shelter in seconds.

The brand is testing the prototypes through a program called Wear Testers, enlisting action sports athletes and outdoor creators across wakeboarding, surfing and camping to use the gear in real-world conditions and report their experiences. The program also lets fans vote on their preferred concepts for further development.

Pacifico shows how crowdsourced prototype testing can strengthen brand loyalty by actively engaging fans in the product R&D process.
