Office Coastline was commissioned to develop a stylish, design-forward Shanghai retail space at a commercial complex in the downtown area of the city. The project is to encompass a shop, a tea bar, a lounge room, and a restaurant.
The interior has delicate hints of industrial motifs and a copper-accented aesthetic. A big part of the furnishing are custom-made. One of the more interesting elements of the interior are the "long backlit copper shelf stretches" that adorn the wall. The concept largely evolves around minimalism and Office Coastline impeccably expresses this through material-rich furnishings and a combination of briskly white and off-white flooring.
The vision for the Shanghai retail space is to create a harmonious and relaxing destination where individuals can take of "the daily fast-paced life."
