SpartanNash's Initiative Encourages Children's Healthy Eating Choices

Facilitating an environment that encourages children's healthy eating choices is incredibly important for long-term wellness and happiness. SpartanNash launches a new program — Kids Crew, that is designed to promote mindful behavior when it comes to meal selection. The initiative is rolling out in select locations of Family Fare Supermarkets, D&W Fresh Market, VG's Grocery, Dan's Supermarket and Family Fresh Market.

The Kids Crew program is purely educational, designed to promote children's healthy eating and call attention to the importance of nutrition and active lifestyles to both the little ones and their parents. While a big portion of the SpartanNash initiative is tied to in-store activities, other extensions include 'Free Fresh Fruit for Kids' and supermarket tours for pre-K through sixth grade, as well as special needs classes.
