This Summer, Delhaize is Operating Little Lion Cooking Camps

— February 4, 2026 — Lifestyle
Involving kids in cooking teaches them lifelong skills and nutrition basics while simultaneously encouraging them to be more adventurous eaters, and this summer, Belgian supermarket chain Delhaize is organizing Little Lion cooking camps for kids ages six to 14. The playful experience for Gen Alpha and Gen Z was inspired by the Little Lions range, which consists of over 1,200 competitively priced everyday private-label products, and over the course of a week, young participants will learn how to prepare budget-friendly recipes that they can replicate at home. "Due to its great success, the [Little Lions] range was also substantially expanded last year. The cooking camps build on that success: they show that tasty and affordable cooking is really accessible to everyone,” said Jo Boone, Campaign & Media Manager at Delhaize.

This summer, the camps operating in partnership with aKadeemi in Flanders and CFS in Wallonia will keep class sizes relatively small, with prices between €165 and €195 per child, and a 30% discount for SuperPlus loyalty card holders.
