From digital detox to digital embrace, the February 2019 pop culture trends expand on the categories of entertainment, mental health, art, and social media.
The list affirms Instagram as a thriving platform that directs public opinion and embraces voyeuristic entertainment. Among the few noteworthy social media-connected innovations is Imma — yet another computer-generated influencer who was even featured on the cover of 'CGWORLD.' The entity was created by Tokyo-based company ModelingCafe. Other Instagram personalities include the World_Record_Egg which has been utilized as a vehicle for a number of advertising initiatives, including a promotional poster for IKEA's 'TVEKSAM' egg cup and Hulu's mental awareness-boosting Super Bowl commercial.
For those who are a little bit tired of social media, Stupid Studio and Jacob Sørensen also spotlight a cure with digital detox patches.
