Refik Anadol’s Work is Projected onto the LA Disney Concert Hall

The LA Disney Concert Hall was turned into an art installation for a limited time. The Frank Gehry architectural jewel is complimented by rich and dynamic patterns created by Turkish media artist Refik Anadol who uses “artificial intelligence (AI) and the orchestra’s digital archive” to realize his concept.

Passers-by were able to enjoy the LA Disney Concert Hall installation every half hour in the evening. Refik Anadol’s artistic vision consisted of 587,764 images, 1,880 videos, 1,483 meta-data and 17,773 audio files. The behemoth amount of information is arranged with the help of the Artist and Machine Intelligence programme at the Google Arts and Culture.

The LA Disney Concert Hall installation is meant to mimic a dream-like sequence.
