An art and design scholarship will be annually offered to students of the Royal College of Art in London, England. These individuals are noticed for "demonstrating major potential in visual arts, design, and communication." The full-fee tuitions will be supported by the Pokémon Company who is focused on "reflecting [its] history of embracing technology."
In its first year of running, the art and design scholarship was granted to Jesse Cahn-Thompson from the Information Experience Design program and Amir Afshar from the Innovation Design Engineering program. Both are embarking on their second year of their master's at the institution. On top of the provided educational funds, the Pokémon company is also offering the pair to visit its studios, bringing the initative full circle.
The Japanese company's scholarship program will definitely go along way to supporting students and their innovative ideas.
