In order to get the word out about a new product, promotion or service, many companies are using food as a means to capture the attention of consumers. For instance, Nathan's Famous and beer brand Lav both created all-new food products inspired by existing signature items.

Inspired by Internet culture, brands are seeking out unusual sources of inspiration for creatively branding products. Examples of this include the Marble Slab creamery launching a range of ice cream flavors inspired by the popular Candy Crush app and zpizza launching a new dish that was crated by blogger Gaby Dalkin.
