A new Starbucks promotion is coming to the U.S. and is a collaboration with rideshare company Lyft. The two organizations teamed up recently and have launched a few incentive-based campaigns such as allowing Lyft drivers to achieve Gold Status for the Starbucks Reward program, Starbucks employees receiving free rides on Lyft in specific areas, Lyft drivers getting tips in the form of Starbucks gift cards, and giving Starbucks loyalty points to riders who rank their trips within a specific time frame.
The most recent Lyft and Starbucks promotion comes in the form of Lyft gift cards. Consumers can walk into their neighborhood Starbucks coffee shop and purchase a $20 Lyft card and as an incentive, they also receive a $5 Starbucks card. The two brands are continually looking to create and test out new ideas that will allow both companies to reach broader markets while sharing each organization's customer base.
