Lyft and United Airlines have launched a partnership that integrates ground and air travel through a new rewards program allowing riders to earn United MileagePlus® miles on every Lyft trip. The initiative turns everyday commutes and airport rides into opportunities to accumulate travel rewards, enhancing convenience for frequent travelers.
Participants can also redeem MileagePlus miles to pay for Lyft rides directly within the app, while 'Smart Scheduling' provides flight alerts and automated ride reminders for seamless airport coordination.
Earning potential includes "1 mile per $1 on Standard, Priority Pickup, and XL rides, 2 miles per $1 for business profile trips, 3 miles per $1 on premium rides such as Extra Comfort and Lyft Black and 4 miles per $1 on scheduled airport rides." Additionally, new users earn 1,000 bonus miles after linking their MileagePlus account and completing two rides within 30 days.
