Implications - Driverless technology is on the rise, with automated systems such as park assistance and lane-keeping mechanisms enhancing the driving process and experience for drivers. In terms of benefits to society and consumers as a whole, these innovations are believed to reduce congestion, prevent accidents and decrease pollution. Although these claims have yet to be verified in real-world trials, a market for driverless cars and technology is steadily growing. More people are warming up to the concept since these technologies improve the entire experience of driving, freeing up their hands to do activities like chat on the phone, check status updates, enjoy their coffee and more.
