When bridging the gap between a real world experience and an online one poses a challenge, a great way around this is to make use of virtual reality technology. Since you can't actually step into the world of Westeros, HBO's Game of Thrones Oculus Rift experience is an example of a fantastic way to bring an imaginary world to life.
