As part of the Tell Me About Politics campaign, Ask Amy is an artificially intelligent app that allows young voters to ask questions about politics via text messaging. Currently fundraising on Crowdfunder, the Ask Amy prototype has already been trialled among young people.
The app is part of an initiative aiming to get youth more involved in the political process and engaged in civic affairs. Developed by the Tell Me About Politics team, the application works similarly to messaging app WhatsApp with a goal of making politics easy as texting. The service can be accessed at any time and is designed to offer unbiased answers in a friendly way. It can also pull up video, images and other interactive content beyond just text.
