Foot Locker launched a virtual 3D shoe customization kiosk at their Times Square flagship store. The kiosk functions as a physical version of the New Balance customization tool, which launched two years ago, allowing shoppers to design their own custom sneaker.
The in-store kiosk features a user-friendly touch screen that gives shoppers full creative control, from logo visibility to the color of the laces. Shoppers can get an idea of the actual product while in the store, while simultaneously designing their own version on the kiosk. Finally, customers have the option of Tweeting or Facebooking their designs directly from the kiosk.
This is but one example of how retail technology has revolutionized the industry, offering shoppers an interactive and immersive experience that they aren't soon to forget!
