21 Landscape-Inspired Creations

Expressions of Place With No Real Estate Required:

The term "landscape" was borrowed as a painters’ term from Dutch during the 16th century. The Dutch word, ‘landschap,’ was used until then to mean ‘region, tract of land.’ Artists began to use it to describe a picture portraying scenery on land. As the artform spread, the term was adopted and modified by the English.

In the same way the word was adopted from its origins, so too the following trends have adopted the concept of the landscape. In large and small ways, the aesthetic of the landscape has been applied to a wide variety of things not necessarily bound by the dirt beneath our feet.
