Larger-than-life versions of everyday objects in furniture design
Implications - Recent years have seen a trend in mini-sizing, in which designers were making tiny versions of products, especially food. Now, furniture designers are going in the opposite direction, enlarging things like cosmetics, game controllers and more in their furniture creations. Such "upsizing" offers a novel approach to the reinterpretation of everyday objects and gives consumers the opportunity to furnish their homes in a fun and charming way.
