From whole food fruit smoothies to low-ABV gin alternatives, the August 2019 drink trends reveal a growing number of better-for-you beverage options in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink categories.
In terms of non-alcoholic drinks that are getting a better-for-you makeover, smoothies have seen major innovations. For instance, the new Whole Food drinks from Love Plantz are fresh smoothies made from the entire fruit—peels, pulp, seeds, and all. This means the smoothies contain more vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants, and are blended with water so they are lower in sugar.
But it's not just smoothies getting a healthy makeover. As the August 2019 drink trends reveal, even beer and spirit brands are catering to the wellness crowd. This includes products such as Sufferfest's Kolsch-style beer, which is low in calories and carbs, and Hayman’s new Small Gin, which boasts a low ABV.
