As the top 2018 romance trends reveal, eligible consumers are interested in online dating—specifically with the help of apps, sites or services that give them confidence and provide authentic connections. As such, a growing number of dating services are being created to provide empowering and niche matchmaking opportunities.
While Bumble paved the way as a "female-friendly" alternative to Tinder, new apps are emerging to offer safe and sometimes even anonymous experiences that have the best interests of women in mind. At the same time, those looking for modern romance are also able to sign up for services that will connect potential matches based on everything from similar passwords to a shared love of dogs.
Now that online dating has gone mainstream, social media platforms are now beginning to introduce dating features rather than solely focusing on content sharing and friendship connections.
