Top 100 Art & Design Trends for 2019

From Norwegian Artist Hubs to Airbag-Inspired Phone Cases:

Many of these 2019 Art & Design trends explore creative and functional elements. Some of these can be incorporated into a daily lifestyle, and others simply encourage creativity. A highlighting example is the 'fordypningsrommet fleinvaer,' a work-space in Norway by TYIN tegnestue and rintala eggertsson. The hub was rooted from an idea by Håvard Lund, with the goal of creating a space for creation. This allows artists, musicians, and more to rent a room and allow their ideas to flow in action. It is an elevated building, featuring a sleeping area, a sauna, concert room, and canteen -- highlighting a landscape architecture.

Another great idea is the AD case by Phillip Frenzel, which is a protective piece for smartphones. It is inspired by airbags, deploying springs when the implemented sensors detect a drop. It can be simply folded back into the case following the drop encounter to prepare for any further accidents.
