Identity-Exploring Artful Designs

MAIII Collective Presents Fragments in Stockholm

MAIII Collective has recently showcased its first collection dubbed Fragments at the Stockholm Furniture Fair. The looks are artfully cohesive and layer through as a unique perspective on Central and Eastern European identity. The firm explained, “Context is crucial. When you share the story behind an object, it adds another layer of meaning."

Eight designers of Hungarian descent created the collection as they joined after meeting at a product design class. The collaboration process was an important factor as this came to life after late-night conversations and the desire to create designs that would communicate heritage. They add, “As a fresh collective, we are still finding our way, learning how to balance our many ideas and experiences because (luckily) we are not few."
