Exaggerated Fashion Runway Lines

Kota Okuda's Inaugural Venture into Fashion is Provocative

Kota Okuda's exaggerated fashion line has created hype across the design community and has caught the eye of celebrities, specifically Nicki Minaj. This is not surprising as the silhouettes, as well as their production, are highly interesting and experimental. The Japanese creative went to Central Saint Martins in London for jewelry designs and "had never used a sewing machine" prior to the debut of his Spring/Summer 2019.

From sensually accented dollar bill dresses to provocative chain outfits, the designs prove to be highly amusing. The exaggerated fashion ensembles feature a variety of materials, including plastic alternatives, metal, and acrylic. An intellectual deconstruction of symbolism, the collection can be considered an educated venture into materialism in the context of the US.
