Spaces Architects Ka has completed The Art House, a 9,000-square-foot family residence in New Delhi designed around custom artwork, furniture, and lighting. Created for a client seeking a highly individualized home, the four-bedroom residence departs from conventional residential planning through fluid forms and curved geometries that extend across both the interior and exterior. The six-level house unfolds gradually through a sequence of distinct spaces. Bespoke artworks developed specifically for the project informed the architectural language, helping establish a consistent relationship between art and architecture.
The residence includes a double-height basement lounge, bar, dining areas, multiple bedrooms, verandahs, terraces, and entertainment spaces. Curved niches, built-in furniture, custom lighting, and commissioned artworks appear throughout the interiors, while a double-height installation combines artisan-made artwork with a sculptural light by Emanate Home. Upper levels feature a party lounge with a jacuzzi beneath a tensile fabric ceiling installation created with Divinam Structuray, while a bright orange spiral staircase connects the rooftop terraces.
