Expandable Camper Trailers

Mini House Doubles Living Space with Accordion-Style Side Extensions

The Mini House is an expandable camper trailer from Turkish manufacturer Ortsan Outdoor. In travel mode, it measures approximately 13.1 feet long by 6.8 feet wide and occupies around 90 square feet. Built on a single-axle steel chassis, the trailer complies with O2 international transport standards and maintains a compact profile for towing and storage. Once parked, electrically operated sidewalls fold outward to create two canvas-enclosed extensions, increasing the interior footprint to roughly 219 square feet.

The expanded layout accommodates a full-width bathroom, a kitchen, dining space and sleeping areas within separate zones. Kitchen equipment includes a 90-litre 12-volt refrigerator, two-burner gas cooktop, stainless-steel sink, cabinetry and a slide-out dining table. The bathroom incorporates additional storage, while a front-mounted box provides exterior cargo space. A 470-watt rooftop solar array works with a 200Ah lithium battery and inverter for off-grid power.
