Illustrator, graphic designer and renowned meme-maker Hey_Reilly produced a set of humorous luxurious fashion collages and prints for Fendi's Fall/Winter 2018 line. The creative became known for his understanding of corporate semantics and branding and how they translate into the social context.
The Instagram artist's ironically meaningful illustrations were a door to a collaboration with luxury Italian fashion house Fendi. Focusing his artistic efforts on 'FAKENEWS'—a personal project that mashes up brand logos with a satirical spin, Hey_Reilly represented a merged image of FILA's logo and Fendi. The design was reposted by Fendi's creative director Silvia Venturini Fendi with a quick follow-up direct message. Silvia asked the illustrator to collaborate with the brand with a line of humorous luxurious fashion collages, as well a collection of art prints to be used throughout the Fall/Winter 2018 line.
