Distracting screens inhabit almost every aspect of our modern lives but the Mui wooden display hopes to change this by offering a calm and focused home screen display. Developed by Mui Lab, this unique screen takes advantage of interactive LEDs that glow beneath the Mui's surface. When the wooden display is not in use, all traces of technology vanish, leaving behind a warm, wooden facade.

While the Mui wooden display is meant to be distraction-free, that doesn't mean it isn't digitally connected. According to Mui Lab, the device provides numerous ways to control a smart home. This includes setting the thermostats, adjusting lights, checking the forecast and playing music. Onboard WiFi allows users to control the wooden display with an Android device and Raspberry Pi3 hardware.
