My background is mainly in writing, but throughout the years I've worn many hats. Event planner, server, bartender, sales, researcher, writer, editor, and many more. I like to think I've picked up a fair amount of skills and insights over the years, but I'm still in search of more. Aside from writing my passion is in music and film, with a particular interest in hardcore punk and Hong Kong action cinema.
What's your favorite accomplishment?
My favorite accomplishment has got to be all the work I have published and the things I've created. From writing to music my creativity is extremely important to me and I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have been allowed to use this creativity.
What is your secret to uncovering trends?
Perseverance, intuition, and creativity. Uncovering trends is not something that is universal to everyone, but something everyone is capable of. When looking to trends I tend to look through a personal lens as well as something that may appeal to a broader community. I pay close attention to details to figure out exactly why this is a trend and how it can impact myself and others.
How do you reset to be creative?
Finding time to unwind and distract myself is probably the most common way I reset creativity. I think we as a society are so pressured to produce something so it is so important to take the time to just relax and not think too much.
What inspires or excites you?
The creation of something innovative or artistic very much excites me. When the world is made a better place through expression I find joy and genuine excitement.
