The ONDA Table Lights have been designed by Vibeke Fonnesberg Schmidt and were debuted at the 2026 3daysofdesign festival in Copenhagen.
The luminaires are part of the 'Objects of Desire' exhibition that's curated by Birgitte Due Madsen, and put a focus on the intersection of art and functionality using Plexiglas. This acts as a way to manipulate light, color and form to prioritize an interplay aesthetic. Each lamp is painstakingly hand-assembled in Copenhagen, involving a precise configuration of the aforementioned Plexiglas layers that have been custom-cut.
The ONDA Table Lights are inspired by fixtures designed for the Taarbæk Kro inn to thus maintain roots in bespoke, limited-edition craftsmanship. The lights are observed in two orientation options including horizontal and vertical to suit different aesthetic preferences or space requirements.
