Standouts include Milan Fashion Week's recent digital fashion week format that is "intended to unite Italian fashion designers and promote their message across all virtual platforms." The event was held this past July and was a direct response to the COVID-19 pandemic, prohibiting in-person, large gatherings.
The Preppi's 'The Prepster' survival bag is another notable example and speaks to growing consumer desires for protective emergency gear that fuses function with fashion. The product is a high-end survival kit "packed with an array of must-have emergency essentials including a first-aid kit, Dopp kit, multitools, an LED lantern sleeping bags, a water filter and much more." Additionally, the accessory is crafted from natural bridle leather, aluminum canvas and boasts a fireproof design to top it all off.
