The August 2019 eco trends cover a range of sustainably focused innovations that limit their impact on the environment.

One noteworthy example comes from Nolla, a Helsinki restaurant that subscribes to a completely zero waste vision. In order to achieve its zero waste status, Nolla does not offer takeout containers, has no trash cans in its kitchen, and has built its menu around dishes that don't create excess waste. In addition, Nolla gives the compost it creates to local farmers and customers, helping them to grow their own food.

Also featured is the MiniFalcon electric scooter, which boasts an ultra-compact design that makes it small enough to fit into a backpack. Although small, the scooter doesn't skimp on functionality, with a top speed of 15.5mph, and 9 miles of range for every charge. Given how lightweight and compact the MiniFalcon is, it makes it easier than ever for city commuters to get where they need in a sustainable fashion.
