McDonald's Creates Eco-Friendly McFlurry Packaging

McDonald's has given a refreshing new update to the signature dessert on its menu with new McFlurry packaging. The chain is starting to roll out paper-made packaging in the US market starting September 10th as it is already been set in place in Europe and Indonesia. This new design contributes to its overall work to forming more sustainable solutions that are recycled, renewable, and mindful by the end of 2025.

The structure has four flaps to keep the soft serve secure and easy to eat on the go. In addition to this, the chain is also unveiling a new Mini McFlurry option, which is also available in other regions. Michael Gonda, SVP, Chief Impact Officer of North America for McDonald’s shares, “Packaging updates like this matter. Not only is this a fun new way for our US fans to enjoy the McFlurry; we’re also moving one step closer to fulfilling our packaging and waste commitments.”
