POSCO and Franke Debut an Eco-Friendly Stainless Steel Sink

— July 7, 2025 — Eco
POSCO has announced the launch of a new premium stainless steel sink, developed in collaboration with Swiss kitchenware manufacturer Franke, that redefines sustainability in kitchen design. Officially unveiled on July 4, the innovative product showcases POSCO’s advanced low-carbon steel technology—featuring a stainless steel material composed of more than 90% recycled scrap content.

To further lower the carbon footprint, POSCO leveraged renewable, self-generated energy from its steel mills during production, demonstrating how sustainable practices can be integrated seamlessly into industrial processes.

“We plan to actively support carbon-reduction efforts not only in kitchen sink products but also across various customer sectors, expanding our market power in the global stainless steel industry," said Lee Kyung-jin, head of the stainless steel marketing division at POSCO.
