Water Flow-Inspired Kiln Sinks

fuseproject Designs the VOLTA Collection for LAUFEN

Founder of fuseproject, Yves Béhar has designed the VOLTA collection for LAUFEN. The brand uses kilns that are entirely electric and this is notably the first of this kind to be used in ceramic sanitaryware. This collection came into fruition with the foundation of four years of research and development.

The design is inspired by the soft curved shapes of water flows around a sink. Yves Béhar created the VOLTA sink to reflect the visual of swirling water going down the drain. The sinks are sculpted by hand and feature a defined slope in the middle. At the root of the design is the brand's Saphirkermik, which is a premium ceramic material known for its thinness and strength.
