Water scarcity is quickly becoming a problem in many parts of the world, which is increasing the demand and need for products like the 'QuaMist' tap attachment. Developed by Chennai, India-based startup Earth Fokus, the device works by being placed onto existing faucets and immediately curbing water usage by up to 95%. To put this into perspective, the unit would cut water usage to about 600ml per minute versus the traditional six to 10 liters that are used with mainstream faucets.
The 'QuaMist' tap attachment works by transforming the normal water flow into mist using a prism-shaped nozzle that converts large water droplets into a sprinkle-like formulation. This will allow for better cleaning, while also dramatically cutting water use in areas stricken by drought or scarcity.
