Sustainable Compostable Coffee Cups

Starbucks Introduces Its New Better Cup for All Design

Starbucks unveils its newest sustainable effort with the Better Cup for All design -- it is a compostable cup and an eco-friendly option to its plastic cups. The cold cups are complete with a bioplastic lining and then supported by a double wall structure. Instead of the clear plastic look, it provides an opaque look which is similar to the company's hot cups.

It comes in two options -- a dome lid and a flat lid to maintain its ability to support the straws. The cups are rolled out at about 580 stores throughout the states of California, Georgia, Massachusetts, and Washington. Notably, the company is also encouraging the use of personal reusable cups by offering the incentive of free refills on brewed coffee and tea on the same visit.
