Zume Launches Sustainable Snap-fit Coffee Lids in Europe

A sustainable snap-fit lid for coffee cups is now available in Europe from Zume, a company developing alternatives to single-use plastic. The new lids are compostable, snappable, and PFAS-free and will help various brands meet their sustainability commitments without having to sacrifice performance.
Coffee is consumed more in Europe than anywhere else, resulting in excessive plastic lid waste. Only .25% of the coffee cups and lids discarded in the UK each year are recycled, leaving the rest in landfills or spilling into our waters. To-go cups cannot be eliminated from menus without a viable alternative, despite calls from regulators to reduce plastic waste. Zume is providing the solution with its sustainable snap-fit lids that can replace single-use plastic lids in Europe on a large scale.
