Incredibly interesting is Qiang Huang's unfinished furniture project. The Central Saint Martins graduate seeks to engage the public and also find a solution for the surplus of discarded shared bikes in the city.
The unfinished furniture project has been given the name 'Bike Scavenger.' Qiang Huang builds the base silhouettes of a bench, a trolley, a lamp, and a stool. To finish the job, people need to find specific bike components, "transforming the salvaged parts into usable products."
This initative is a design-forward concept that allows for citizens to address the magnanimous surplus of bikes that have been leftover from the "explosion of cycle-sharing schemes in urban centers around the world." In addition to the 'clean-up,' one can enjoy some interesting statement furniture.
