Hospitals are being redesigned with aesthetics in mind
Implications - To provide an image of cleanliness and order, hospitals have traditionally been designed to be as pristine and white as possible. Perhaps, however, what patients really need as they recover is a warm, inviting environment; accordingly, some hospitals are being designed for this purpose. On the other hand, some healthcare centers are being designed for earth-friendly sustainability, while still others have designs based on elements that please the senses. Whatever the design orientation, today’s haute hospitals definitely augment the healing process.
