Top 100 Art & Design Trends in April

From Foldable Cabin Houses to Hyper-Realistic Holograms:

The April 2022 art and design trends were marked largely by eco-conscious architecture, modular furniture designs, and an array of digital-forward developments geared towards Web 3 and the metaverse.

Amongst the new sustainable architecture developments, there was a notable increase in the launch of eco-friendly tiny homes this month. For example, French startup Baluchon introduced 'Kalzennig,' its latest tiny home, which boasts an eco-friendly design and simple furnishing. Meanwhile, Azure Printed Homes teamed up with WASP to build a new line of 3D-printed prefabricated homes that intend to complement larger buildings.

Elsewhere, a wide range of futuristic, sci-fi-like concepts made their debut. For example, holographic tech startup Light Field Lab launched its SolidLight Platform, a modular video wall that can be used to project 3D holograms without the need for a VR headset.
