The Lagom Home Embraces Calm Minimalism and Natural Balance

— July 16, 2025 — Art & Design
Lagom Wabi‑Sabi Home embraces calm minimalism and natural balance. Designed by Studio Autumn for a tech couple in Bangalore, this 2,100 sq ft apartment marries Japanese wabi‑sabi philosophy with modern minimalism. Rooted in the Swedish concept of “just enough,” the space features arched entryways, lime‑washed walls, brass accents, and wooden floors that foster serenity amid urban life.

Every design decision, from floating concrete benches and custom niches to fluted glass partitions, was guided by thoughtful simplicity. Curved mirrors, soft lighting, and natural materials like marble and rattan deepen the tactile richness. Bespoke furnishings and built-in elements support both quiet reflection and social engagement, making the home feel personal and globally inspired. Central to the design is balance, intentionality, and warmth, providing a serene refuge that celebrates imperfection, texture, and quiet elegance.
