Marketing to a culture hungry for yoga-oriented products and practices
Implications - Yoga has been one of the fastest growing fitness and lifestyle trends; what is interesting is that there continues to be success from style innovations and accessories, some going well beyond traditional mats and apparel. In addition, an array of special-interest practices have emerged including equestrian, pet, punk rock and heli-yoga. This is an interesting example of something old (it’s been around since 3000 B.C.) being repackaged and repositioned for today’s generation. Once the domain of Buddhists and hippie-granola types, yoga has made spirituality both cool and approachable.
