Former '90s supermodels take the spotlight in fashion once again
Implications - Although there are plenty of young and up-and-coming models to feature in today's fashion media, the industry has been increasingly looking to past-era supermodels, such as Helena Christensen, Cindy Crawford and Christy Turlington, to be the stars of today's campaigns and editorials. This re-idolization and re-exaltation of former supermodels appeals not only to nostalgia but to the market demographic that identifies with older and more mature women.
