Implications - Recently, Trend Hunter discussed the increasing ability of consumers to control a variety of home goods, such as thermostats and fireplaces, via wireless connection. Now, innovators are in fact focusing on connecting smartphones to a number of different products (not just housewares) including canteens, helicopters, watches and even lampposts. Thus, possessing a smartphone doesn't just mean that you have a method of communication -- it means having the ability to control, operate and connect to almost everything around you.
