Between the pandemic, the US inauguration, and the approaching Super Bowl, this list of February 2021 commercials is filled with all-things advertising.
The year has been hard on everyone, tasking brands with creating engaging content for consumers who are seeking a distraction or escape from the day-to-day. One example, is Checkers' monster truck ad, which crushed life-sized versions of everything that made 2020 so horrible. On a similar note, Mountain Dew promoted its new watermelon flavor by introducing Major Melon -- a dog shaped out of watermelons.
Brands are also catering to consumers' emotions with more heart-felt ad spots. Budweiser opted not to spend its budget on a Super Bowl ad, and instead promoted its pandemic relief efforts.
