These 2016 fashion photography trends spotlight a variety of different editorials and promotional campaigns, with celebrity Vogue covers and expressive streetwear catalogs in the mix.

Jaden Smith's photo shoot for Vogue Korea challenged conventional gender norms, with the star sporting a black skirt and wearing a flower behind his ear in one image. In another, he wears a uniquely patterned blazer and a matching skirt, along with a statement hat.

Also featured in these 2016 fashion photography trends is Rihanna's work with Terry Richardson, which was a part of CR Fashion Book's ninth issue. Throughout the images, the pop star mirrored Marie Antoinette, adapting the late queen of France's look for a seductive and incredibly powerful editorial.
